LOCATED ON THE OUTSKIRTS of the city, Minuto Muxbal is a place of convenience designed with an urban vision in the middle of a disorganized commercial strip.

With an extraordinary view of some of Guatemala’s colossal volcanoes, a tower, inspired by the robust Guatemalan towers of the 17th century, marks the entrance to the project and, in turn, forms an important and recognizable urban landmark.

This project is organized around an open space, defined by commercial pavilions connected to each other by porticoes. The metal columns and brackets evoke the wooden architecture of the iconic Commerce Portal of Antigua Guatemala.

An octagonal pavilion — perfect for an open-air shop — located in the center of the complex, both complements and binds the overall design. Finally, an ancillary building — small, yet strong in hierarchy — which houses a branch of the local municipality, completes the urban composition.
